After Hail Storm Part 1

The night after the hail storm, our neighbor, Tracy was looking at her roof when I got home from the walk and she said that we had some holes on the plastic vent covers like she had her so I went up to our roof to check and asked Dick to grab a roll of duck tape which he did and tossed it to me. I covered the broken vents with the tapes so the rain would not get into the attic. There were some dents on the rain gutters.
A few days later, we received so many door flyers from the roofing companies screaming for our business and money so I decided to email our home owner insurance agent, Carl asking him if we should have a new roof and he said yes. So he sent Max of the Barton Roofing Company to come over to check on the roof and Max brought one of his partner to go up to the roof to check. When he got down, he told Max that we needed a new one and Max had called Carl having him to claim it. I asked one of our friends, Ron, the painter how the hail damaged the shingles which we did not understand and Ron had his friend, Mike the roofer to explain it to us.
Mike said that the hail damaged the granules on the shingle NV ray that drys out the asphalt over the time. If we didn't get it done by the time, the insurance would not cover the further damage we would have on the roof and in the attic.

Here are the pictures of the houses in our neighborhood that had their roofs replaced. The old shingles had to be removed before the new ones are being placed while we wait for ours to be replaced.
