My Classes At The College

My math class with an interpreter

I started taking classes in August at the college in Fort Worth, Texas where I live in that was paid by the tuition waiver certication I received from the state of Texas. I buy books out of my pocket. The courses I took were Math/Algebra and Reading Techniques I. Math class was on Tuesday and Thursday, the reading class was on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
I took only two courses because I had not been in school in a long time. I took a few courses at the college in Spokane, Washington in 1986 and again in 1999 when I found out that some English courses were free.
I had an interpreter presented during the lecture that helped me get all the infomation from the teachers. I had a tons of math online homework and it was impossible to memorize all the problems! Math isn't my bag. We had some tutors in the math lab down the hall from the math class and I was able to get help when I needed. I spent an hour there before class on Tues and Thurs and sometimes went there after class when I needed additional help. We had math tests every two weeks and reading tests on Fridays. We were not allowed to use our cell phones and graph caculators but the scientific calculatorsin a test room downstairs. I enjoyed the reading class the most and would register for reading II starting on Jan 14th as well as with math course.
The interpreter names Rachael and I became good friends.
I'm on a Christmas vacation trying to finish vacuuming the dust bunnies that were hiding all over the house mocking at me when I was in a"prison" of math online homework on our computer during the semester because I didn't have a time to vacuum under the furnitures and large appliances but on the carpents. I vacuum the carpent often because we have a cat and dog. I still feel weird for not doing online homework and am trying to break my online addiction.

Richard and I wish you a Happy Holiday!

I received email from my reading teacher who found out I registered for reading II saying that I didn't need to take that course because I passed the reading I and Nelson-Denny test before Christmas and suggested me show his email to someone in the language office at TCC to get a note for the adm person to remove the restriction so I was able to have an access in any course I chose. I registed for Psychology.
