Here is the picture of our deaf friend, Kelly from church wearing a Texas Longhorn t-shirt and baseball cap at our deaf church picnic Sunday. Is he a fan of the Longhorn? No, he is a fan of the U of Oklahoma foot ball team. Why was he wearing these shirt and cap? When I saw him wearing them, I raised my fists into the air and said "Yay!" But he said that he had to wear them because he lost the bet with Cathy, the Longhorn fan when the Longhorn football team won the day before during the Red River Rival Day that was held at the Texas Stadium in Dallas. Kelly told Cathy that she would have to wear the red UO t-shirt if the Longhorn lose and she also told him that he would have to wear the Longhorn shirt if they win. Most of the people at the picnic had worn the Longhorn t-shirts, and Dick wore a Longhorn crew sweatshirt and I wore my hoodie which I bought with a JCPenney gift card. Most of us also wore them when we were at church and Kelly was the only one wearing his UO t-shirt and spring jacket. Kelly recently said that he had bought them at Walmart on his way to the picnic with some tomatoes and onions to go with the BBQ hamburgers.
