The tendon in Dick's foot was nearly ripped when he felt a painful snap the day after Christmas when he was working. Its had been very sore and swollen for a few weeks before seeing our family doctor. He was given with pain reliever and anti-inflamation medication to take but his foot was still hurting so he was referred a week later to a foot specialist who found out that the tendon was nearly torn after taking a MRI. He gave him a black brace to wear for six weeks. The specialist said that it was caused by the Cipro antibiodies Dick took for the upper respiratory infection he had a month earlier. Dick didn't like the brace becuase it was too heavy to walk. He was allowed to work but can't use the stairs. I helped put it on every morning.
Last Thursday he was checked again and told that he didn't need to wear the brace and is happy. I told him that he was free from wearing the chain with an iron ball and he laughed. He said that his foot was feeling a lot better.
